Readers for Divine Liturgy

We are very grateful to Anna Knaur for reading the Communion Prayer today, Feb. 22, 20206. God bless you, Anna, for leading our St. Luke community in prayer. To our other Sunday School families, please encourage your children to volunteer to read the Epistle or the Communion Prayer during Divine Liturgy. We will send you the reading(s) ahead of time so that your child can practice and become comfortable with the texts beforehand. To volunteer your child, please contact our Sunday School Directors at stlukesundayschool@gmail.com.

Psalm Readers for Salutation Services

We are seeking 1 to 3 Sunday School students to read Psalms 50, 69, and/or 142 at the very beginning of each of the Lenten Salutation services to the Panagia. The dates for these services are Friday, February 27; March 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 6 pm. What a blessing for our children to have a chance to read aloud the words of King David! To volunteer your child, please contact our Sunday School Directors at stlukesundayschool@gmail.com. Thank you and your families for participating in this joyful Lenten tradition.

Lenten Letter and Workbook

As Great Lent begins tomorrow, Monday, February 23, you will soon receive a copy of the 2026 Sunday School Lenten letter and Lenten workbook. The Lenten letter contains: 1) information about the schedule of Lenten and Holy Week services; 2) a form for you to register your child for the Holy Friday retreat; and 3) an additional form for you to register your daughter to serve as a Myrrh-bearer at one or both of the Holy Friday services. The Lenten workbook is intended to guide, support , and inspire your families with prayers and activities throughout your Lenten journey. These materials are also available on the Sunday School website (https://www.ss.st-luke.org/), as well as from the Sunday School office. Please contact us at stlukesundayschool@gmail.com if you need help to obtain the letter or the workbook, or in filling out the registration forms.
